Personal data is only collected when you yourself share this with us, for example when completing the contact form, registering or ordering our newsletter. We use this data exclusively for the purpose for which you have submitted your data. For other purposes use occurs solely after express notification or after obtaining your consent, art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. In specific cases personal data is collected on the basis of legitimate interest as per art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (see section 4).
In the following we explain how we process personal data on this website.

5. DATA PROCESSING WHEN ACCESSING THE WEBSITE
If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure its stability and security. IP address, date and time of the request, content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code, amount of data transferred in each case, website from which the request comes, browser, operating system and its interface, language and version of the browser software.
The collection of this data is technically necessary to display our website and to ensure stability and security. We are regularly not aware of who is hidden behind an IP address. We do not combine the above data with other data.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR. Since the collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website and for protection against misuse, our legitimate interest in data processing outweighs at this point.
5.1. CONTACT VIA E-MAIL OR CONTACT FORM
When contacting us via e-mail or a contact form the data that you supply (your e-mail address, your first name and surname, title and telephone number) will be saved by us in order to respond to your queries and send you material regarding the hackathon. The online contact form for a confirmation contains the following information: Title, name, e-mail address, telephone number and company/university. To the extent that we request details via our contact form that are not required for initiating contact, we have always indicated these as optional. We use these details to specify your enquiry and improve the processing of your request. Communication of these details is exclusively on a voluntary basis and with your consent, art. 6 para.1 a GDPR. To the extent that these are details concerning communications channels (such as e-mail address, telephone number), you also consent to us contacting you via these communication channels in order to respond to your enquiry. This consent may be revoked at any time, naturally.
The data collected in relation to this will be deleted by us as soon as storage is no longer necessary, or processing limited, where a statutory retention requirement exists.
This website was created with the help of our service provider Wix.com Ltd Namal 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel ("Wix") and is also hosted on their servers. We have concluded a corresponding contract with our service provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and, in addition, due to the transfer of data to third countries, we have also concluded the standard contractual clauses required by the EU Commission. We do not use any of the plugins provided by Wix on our website. Therefore, when you access our website and your further surfing activities, the data transferred to Wix is limited to so-called server log files. These include: Name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, transferred data volume, message about successful access, browser type and version, operating system of the user, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. Wix uses this data primarily for statistical analysis for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offer.
5.2. REGISTRATION FOR THE CAMPAIGN
You have the possibility to register on our website. Necessary personal data is marked as a mandatory field in the respective registration form, any additional information is voluntary.
If you have registered for the hackathon using our contact form, you will receive a confirmation link by e-mail (double opt-in)
For the registration we collect and store the following data from you:
– First name
– Phone number
We store the data during the campaign period until 31 October 2020. We use the data to get in contact with you, to communicate with you within the hackathon or to inform you in case you have won on of the prizes.
Furthermore, we store the additional data you provide for the campaign period, unless you delete them first.
